I know many of us were taught to memorize some Psalms when growing up, most especially Psalms 91, 27, etc. We call them Psalms of protection. I have heard the general overseer of a megachurch in Lagos saying "Don't leave home and never go to bed without first reading psalm 91". But now we know better. Reading Psalms does not really guarantee our protection from all the evil and wickedness going on in the world. “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.”   — 1 John 5:18 (KJV) The verse above says if you don't want the wicked to touch you, you should keep yourself and sin not.  “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”   — Psalms 34:7 (KJV) This next verse says, if you fear the Lord, his angels will protect and deliver you. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. The bible further states that - "Wickedness proceeds from the wicked" (1 Samuel 24:13). It means wickedness is done by the wicked. If any type of wickedness is linked to you, you are said to be wicked. What does the wicked do? The wicked hates progress or joy or happiness of their fellow men. “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:” (Genesis 12:1) Some of us left our father's house physically, but we forgot to leave spiritually so we still find ourselves there (in the dream) from time to time. “And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.” (Matthew 10:36) Because men/fathers are the heads of families, what makes people the head comes from their father's house, so the devil hides there to make sure no one uses their glory there. “And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:” (Judges 6:25). It is clear from this scripture that Gideon would not have been used mightily by the Lord if he hadn't obeyed and destroyed the altar of Baal in his father'

But my enemies are vigorous and strong, And many are those who hate me wrongfully." (Psalm 38:19) "Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head" (Psalm 69:4a) Now, people can actually hate you without a cause. We all know this. I'll expatiate on it later. But what if people actually hate you for something, both what you can see and what you can't see? It is possible. “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.” (Romans 9:13) Esau was hated for something. Jacob was loved for something. I know certain character, bahaviour, attitude, or actions can make people hate you naturally, which includes lying, pride, stealing, wickedness, stinginess, abominations, wickedness, rudeness, etc. But there are situations where you may find that you were hated/rejected or deliberately denied of something for no definite reason which deprived you of an opportunity, favour or position.   “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,” (Luke 4:18) “Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?” (Isaiah 29:15) There are some spirits in our lives whose mission is simply to slow us down in everything. In our careers, education, families, businesses, etc. All they do is make sure everything moves as slow and as sluggish as possible. While these spirits don't just appear in our lives for no reason and out of nowhere, they are subordinates of other spirits or entities that afflicts us. I remember a time I was praying against snails and snail spirits because I was seeing it in my dreams often. Then one night in my dream, the Lord told me that it is a serpent from
